EqualityMaine works to secure full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in Maine through political action, community organizing, education, and collaboration.


The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network of Southern Maine strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.


Pflag Portland, Maine offers compassionate peer support to the parents, friends, families and friends of, and including, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning individuals through group discussion, education, advocacy and creating connections to community resources.


MaineTransNet facilitates peer support groups for trans people and allies, as well as providing avenues for social networking and public dialogue. We direct people to available resources and provide training and education opportunities that utilize our expertise and experiences. 


Pride Portland! is a celebration of Portland, Maine’s LGBTQIA - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, ally/asexual community. Our goal is to bring people together to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQA movement, remember our history and raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done. Fostering and honoring inclusivity, diversity and unity. Pride Portland! builds stronger connections amongst individuals, organizations and businesses.


SAGE Maine is working to ensure that older LGBT adults are treated with respect, dignity, and equality. SAGE offers supportive services and resources for LGBT older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address their needs, and provides training for aging providers. SAGE is building a movement to reduce isolation, promote community, improve financial security, and enhance the quality of life for LGBT older adults in Maine.
